What is a Crimp Ferrule?
The crimp ferrule (also called crimp sleeve) is the outer element of a hose fitting. It encloses the hose end and is permanently deformed during the crimping process. Through this plastic deformation, the ferrule presses through the rubber cover of the hose down into the reinforcement (wire braid).
Our models of the brand Valcon® are precision components. They ensure the necessary force-fit connection between hose and nipple so that the connection does not tear off even under pressure peaks and vibrations. Without the correct ferrule, no safe hydraulic line is possible.

Selection Criteria & Technical Data
Attention: Choosing the wrong ferrule is a serious safety risk! A ferrule for a 1-layer hose will not hold on a 4-layer hose.
Check these points meticulously:
- Hose Type: Is your hose a 1SN, 2SN (braid), or a 4SP/4SH (spiral)? Select the ferrule exactly matching the hose series (e.g., Valcon V8-2SN).
- Nominal Diameter (DN): The ferrule must match the nominal size (from DN6 to DN25 and larger).
- Assembly Type: Is it a non-skive ferrule (peel-free) or must the rubber be removed on the outside (skive)?
- Crimp Dimension: Mandatory observance of the specified crimp dimension tables for the combination of ferrule and nipple.
Tip: Never mix ferrules and nipples from different manufacturers unless approved, as tolerances may vary.
