Screw Couplings in Hydraulics

Screw couplings are widely used in hydraulics as they are essential for the quick, easy, and reliable connection of hydraulic lines. They are used to connect or disconnect various components in a hydraulic system without the need to bleed the system.

Advantages of Screw Couplings

  • High Pressure: Screw couplings are ideal for applications where very high pressures may occur. They provide a very secure connection that will not unintentionally release even under high pressure.
  • Less Frequent Connections: They are particularly suitable for connections that do not need to be disconnected and reconnected frequently, as the connection and disconnection process takes more time than with quick couplings.
  • Extreme Conditions: Due to their robust design, they are well-suited for harsh environments where dirt, vibrations, and impacts may occur.
  • Reliability: They provide a very reliable connection for critical applications where leaks or connection failures could lead to serious problems.
