The gerotor motor (orbital motor, oil motor) is the special form of a toothed ring motor in which the outer ring with 7 teeth is fixed, while the inner wheel with 6 teeth performs a planet-like movement. This displaces the volume of 6 x 7 = 42 tooth spaces during one revolution, so that a very high torque is obtained.
