The overall length of a hose assembly is always measured from sealing head to sealing head for straight fittings. For 90° or 45° elbow fittings, it is measured to the center of the sealing face. During installation, make sure to choose a hose length that prevents tensile stress and excessively tight bending radii under pressure.
The main differences lie in pressure rating and flexibility:
Pay attention to the thread type and sealing surface:
This depends on the ports of your power units, pumps, or cylinders. If the hose fitting does not connect directly to your component, you can find a wide selection of suitable male stud fittings, reducers, elbow fittings, and T-connectors in metric, BSP, NPT, and JIC configurations in our Hydraulic Fittings category.
The displacement angle is essential when both ends of the hose assembly feature elbow fittings (e.g., 45° or 90°): Look along the hose axis. Align the rear fitting vertically pointing upwards (12 o'clock position). The displacement angle is the degree angle (0°–360°) measured clockwise to the front fitting.
Protective sleeves extend service life and increase occupational safety:
According to safety standards (e.g., DGUV Rule 113-020), hydraulic hose assemblies should generally be replaced after a maximum of 6 years (including a max. storage period of 2 years). With the LöSi reminder service and our hose tagging system, you will be notified automatically before inspection or replacement intervals expire.
Because hydraulic hoses are subject to specific maintenance intervals according to DIN EN 853 and other industry standards, we offer an exclusive marking and tagging service.
How does it work? Simply enter your details into our reminder service. We will automatically send you a notification whenever your hose is due for inspection or replacement. This guarantees maximum operational availability for your equipment.
