Hydraulic Valves

A hydraulic valve is an essential control element in any hydraulic system and regulates the flow, pressure and direction of the hydraulic oil. It thus controls the movement and function of cylinders, motors and other consumers. Hydraulic valves are used in almost all industrial and mobile applications – from construction machinery and agricultural technology to production facilities and modern hydraulic units. In the LöSi® web shop, you will find a large selection of high-quality hydraulic valves, including directional control valves, pressure valves, flow control valves and check valves, suitable for a wide range of requirements and system sizes.

Hydraulic valves - Overview

What is a Hydraulic Valve?

A hydraulic valve is the intelligent control center in every fluid power system. It controls where the oil flows, how much pressure is built up, and how fast cylinders or motors move. In short: Without valves, power is not controllable.

A distinction is made between four main groups, all of which are represented in our range:

  • Directional Control Valves: Determine the start, stop, and direction of movement (e.g., extending a cylinder).
  • Pressure Control Valves: Limit the system pressure (pressure relief valve) or switch pressures on/off.
  • Flow Control Valves: Regulate the flow rate and thus the speed of the drives (throttles).
  • Check/Shut-off Valves: Allow flow in only one direction (non-return valves) or hold loads leak-free.

Advantages of Our Hydraulic Valves

A valve decides the precision and safety of your machine. Inferior components lead to "spongy" control, internal leaks (sagging of the load), and overheating.

Rely on quality for maximum control:

  • Variety of Designs: We offer both classic manual control valves (monoblock) for direct pipe installation and standardized CETOP solenoid valves for subplate mounting.
  • Tightness: Our poppet valves close absolutely leak-free – essential for holding loads securely.
  • Individuality: In addition to standard components, we manufacture customer-specific hydraulic control blocks, which are exactly tailored to your space requirements and function.
  • Fine Control: Optimized spool overlaps ensure smooth switching processes without pressure shocks.

Typical Areas of Application

Whether manually operated on the tractor or electrically controlled in industry – our valves regulate power flows in all sectors:

  • Municipal Technology: Control of brooms and spreader discs on sweepers.
  • Agricultural Technology: Hand lever valves on log splitters and front loaders.
  • Industry: Automated presses and production lines with CETOP stacking.
  • Mobile Hydraulics: Load-sensing blocks in excavators for efficient working.

Selection Criteria & Technical Data

Selecting the right valve is complex. A wrong circuit diagram (piston spool) can lead to the function not being provided.

Define these parameters before ordering:

  • Function: What should happen? (e.g., 4/3-way valve for cylinder control, pressure relief for protection).
  • Flow Rate (l/min): The valve must be large enough to let the oil pass without excessive heating (Nominal size NG6, NG10 etc.).
  • Actuation: Manual (lever), Electric (coil 12V/24V/230V), Hydraulic or Pneumatic?
  • Connection Type: Flangeable (subplate mounting) or Threaded connection (pipe installation)?

Expert Tip: Pay attention to the "center position" with directional control valves. Should the cylinder float in neutral position (motor spool) or be blocked (closed center)?
