What is a UVM Steering Amplifier?

A UVM steering amplifier (technically: torque amplifier) is a hydraulic component that acts as a link between the steering wheel (control shaft) and the steering linkage. Its task is simple but extremely effective: It multiplies the manual force applied by the driver.

Thanks to its simple but robust design, the UVM amplifier ensures up to **40 times higher output torque** than the manually input input torque. With a transmittable power of up to **1.1 kW**, it transforms stiff steering systems into comfortable systems – without complex electronics.
