Plug coupling

A high-quality plug-in coupling enables quick and secure connection and disconnection of hydraulic lines – ideal for mobile devices, attachments or changing systems. Our range includes plug-in couplings that are designed in accordance with current standards (e.g. ISO 7241, ISO 16028) and guarantee high pressure resistance and minimal leakage. Simple coupling and uncoupling mechanisms save you time, improve maintenance and increase the operational safety of your hydraulic connection technology.

What is a Push-in Coupling?

A push-in coupling (also called quick-release coupling) is the standard interface in mobile hydraulics. It enables lightning-fast connection and disconnection of hydraulic lines – usually completely without tools by simply plugging together the coupling sleeve (female) and coupling plug (male).

Inside both halves are spring-loaded check valves. When coupling, these open each other and release the oil flow. When uncoupling, they close immediately automatically. This prevents hydraulic oil from escaping or air from entering the system. This technology makes the push-in coupling the most efficient solution for changing attachments.

Advantages of Our Push-in Couplings

Anyone who changes equipment frequently saves valuable working time with push-in couplings. Instead of screwing for minutes, the connection is established in seconds.

Technical features for professionals:

  • ISO Conformity: Our couplings are standardized (e.g., ISO 7241 or ISO 16028), which guarantees worldwide interchangeability.
  • One-Hand Operation: Many models can be coupled with one hand (Push-Pull system), which improves ergonomics.
  • Low-Leakage to Leak-Free: While standard couplings oil minimally when disconnecting, our Flat-Face couplings offer absolutely drip-free disconnection (environmental protection).
  • Rotatability: In the coupled state, the halves can often be rotated against each other, which prevents torsion in the hose.

Typical Areas of Application for Push-in Couplings

Push-in couplings can be found wherever flexibility is required. They are the link between machine and tool:

  • Agriculture: The classic at the tractor rear (ISO-A) for tippers, plows, and loader wagons.
  • Construction Machinery: Flat-Face couplings on skid steer loaders and excavators for hydraulic tools.
  • Industry: On test benches and power units for fast diagnostic connections.
  • Municipal Technology: Winter service vehicles that need to be converted seasonally.

Selection Criteria & Technical Data

The most important thing when buying: Does the plug fit the sleeve? The variety is great, so looking closely is mandatory.

Check these parameters before ordering:

  • Standard/Design: Do you need the classic Poppet Valve Design (ISO 7241-A) or the modern Flat-Sealing Design (ISO 16028)?
  • Body Size (BG): The body size determines the flow rate. Common are BG 3 (DN 10), BG 2 (DN 6), or BG 6 (DN 12). If in doubt, measure the diameter of the plug.
  • Thread Connection: How is the coupling screwed to the hose? (BSP, Metric, NPT).
  • Coupling under Pressure: Must the connection be established under residual pressure? For this you need special CUP variants (Connect Under Pressure).
